SECOND:
Academic dialogue between arts and design, cultural identity and politics. It is evident that artists/designers often use different visual artifacts and representations (e.g., image, symbol, object) to express ideas, inner feelings, past experiences and worldviews. In other words, the creative arts can be used as a form of expression and communication.
In summary, it is reasonable to suggest that art and design play a very important role in shaping and fostering the socio-cultural values of a society. In order to understand the inner feeling, outward manifestation, and personal experience of ethnic minorities, scholars have used art and design as a vehicle to examine and illuminate different issues related to ethnic identity, cultural diversity, and transcultural values.
Tres Culturas statement: “Promoting dialogue, peace and coexistence among peoples of the Mediterranean is the guiding principle that guides the activities of this Foundation.”
Based on the readings, ANSWER the following questions:
